  • 1. Is this program high fat, low carb or low fat high carb? 

    The reset is all about balance because your gut needs a balance of macronutrients to work at it's best. Without balance, we can actually do harm to our body (and especially gut) in the long rung. We include healthy fats, whole fruits and vegetables, gut healing superfoods, and healthy vegetable based starches and carbs. 

  • 2. How many calories is the meal plan?

    When you are focusing on reseting your microbiome and body, calories don't count. Really, they don't! It is all about quality over quantity here and you will see how that decreased inflammation and takes weight off easily (if you are someone who has weight to lose). With that being said, I created the meal plan to be around 1,300-1,500 calories for the best balance for the average person. 

  • 3. Will I be hungry?

    The reset is designed to help you feel more satisfied, full, and nourished than ever before. You won't be feeling deprived or starving!


    Many "diets" and detoxes succeed in helping you lose weight in the short term because they restrictive and very low calorie. You know as well as I do that never works because as soon as you stop the program, you gain all of the weight you lost back...and sometimes even add extra weight in the process. This happens because restricting your body of what it needs actually slows down your metabolism, which in turn makes it even more difficult to lose weight the next time around.


    The good news? Our program isn’t like that. In fact, it is the opposite. In our balanced reset program, it’s critical that you are fueling your body with the protein, fat, carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals it needs so that it can let go of toxins and restore the gut microbiome to balance all the other areas of your body.  

  • 4. What if I don't need to lose weight?

    Your body has a natural set point. When you are fueling with the right balance and food--you will gain weight if you need to and lose weight if you need to. This reset helps your body get back to going in the direction of that set point. 

  • 5. Do I have to give up alcohol, coffee, sugar, or my favorite foods?

    This is your reset which means YOU are in charge and you get to decide what you will and will not do. 

    That said, we highly recommend avoiding coffee, alcohol, and sugar intake for 7 days since they can place an extra burden on your gut and body as it tries to reboot. We want to make the process an easy one for the body and help it along! Avoiding coffee, alcohol, and sugar for this 7 day reset will give you the best results so you can see and feel the difference in your microbiome. The same goes for your favorite foods: if they’re not approved on the recommended foods list and not in the 7 day meal plan, then we encourage you keep them out. However, this is all ultimately up to you and we believe any gradual change in the right direction will help you along your gut health journey! 

  • 6. Can I still do the reset if I have an allergy or food sensitivity that is on the diet plan ?

    Yes! The food recommendations in the reset will teach you how to make your own meals and they are naturally gluten-free, soy-free and dairy-free, and it is overall favorable to those with special dietary needs. The foundation of the program is keeping out any foods that can be irritating to the gut and to reduce inflammation. Therefore, many food sensitivities people have are inflammatory foods. When you talk to me on the coaching calls, you can always ask your personal questions regarding any restrictions you may have! Along with that, we make it easy to follow our template and offer food recommendations if you follow the diet plan in order to make simple substitutions when needed. We encourage you to be creative, think outside the box and make this your own so you have the tools to succeed in the long run! If you need extra help or recommendations on food swaps, you can always ask our team of experts and community of fellow-resetters in the Gut Healthy Society private Facebook group.

  • 7. Can I do this reset if I am a vegetarian or vegan?

    We formulated the reset to include grass-fed pasture raised meats ad wild caught fish for 1 meal a day. If you are a vegetarian--you can sub eggs. If you follow a strictly plant-foods-based or animal-foods-free vegan diet, the reset program may not be for you. 

  • 8. Can I do this reset if I have diabetes?

    Yes! It is a whole-foods based program with natural supplementation, and is safe for people with diabetes. 


    That said, if you are under the care of a medical professional, are insulin dependent, or are taking blood sugar regulating medications, we recommend that you consult with your doctor before beginning any new supplements. You may just want to do the diet portion and protein powder without the Reset Supplement Kit. 


    You may find that your medications need to be adjusted as your body becomes more efficient at regulating blood sugars on its own, and enlisting the support of your doctor will be important to make changes in your medications. 

  • 9. Can I do this reset if I have a medical condition?

    The balanced way of eating and supplementing that we’ve outlined for you in this program helps with nearly all medical conditions because at the heart of nearly all health issues is inflammation, and this reset program works on healing and getting rid of existing inflammation. That said, you should always consult with your medical doctor before beginning a new program. You might want to do the diet portion and protein powder only with the Reset Supplement Kit.
